Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DoseMate handles information. In short: the medications, schedules, and dose history you enter are stored on your device and are never uploaded. The app has no user accounts. It does use Google Firebase for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting, Google AdMob to show ads in the free version, and RevenueCat to process the optional Premium purchase that removes those ads.

Summary
- Your medication details — names, schedules, dosages, and dose history — are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- DoseMate uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage statistics and crash diagnostics that help us keep the app working well.
- The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Ads are matched using device-level advertising signals, never using your medications, schedules, or dose history.
- These analytics, crash reports, and ad requests do not include the medication information you enter.
- Buying DoseMate Premium removes every ad in the app. Purchases are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat.
- There are no user accounts, and we do not sell your data.
Information You Enter
To provide reminders, DoseMate lets you enter information such as medication names, medication type, dosage, schedule and times of day, duration, and a record of whether each dose was taken or skipped. You may also choose an app language.
This information is stored locally on your device in the app's private storage (an on-device database and app preferences). We do not operate a server that receives it, and it is never uploaded to us or to any third party. We cannot see, access, or recover this information.
Analytics And Crash Reporting
DoseMate uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to understand how the app is used in aggregate and to diagnose crashes and errors. This helps us fix problems and improve the app.
To provide these services, Google may process anonymous, non-personal information such as interaction events (for example, opening a screen or scheduling a reminder), a randomly generated app-instance identifier, crash and diagnostic data, and general device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, and app version). This data does not include the medication names, dosages, schedules, or history you enter.
Google processes this information as described in the Firebase Privacy and Security policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The free version of DoseMate shows ads served by Google AdMob. To request and display an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process device-level information such as your Android advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and general ad interaction data (for example, that an ad was shown or tapped).
Your medications, schedules, dosages, and dose history are never used to select or target ads, and are never sent to Google, AdMob, or any advertiser.
Where required — for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — DoseMateshows a consent form provided by Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads, so you can choose whether ads are personalised. You can review or change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy optionsinside the app. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Android settings.
Google processes ad-related information as described in the Google Business Data Responsibility page and the Google policy on how it uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Buying DoseMate Premium switches every ad off immediately and stops the app from making further ad requests.
Purchases
DoseMate Premium is an optional purchase that removes ads. Payment is processed by Google Play; we never see or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active on your device and to restore it after a reinstall or on a new device.
For that purpose RevenueCat processes an anonymous purchase identifier along with basic purchase and device information. It is not linked to your medications or to any account you hold with us, because DoseMate has no accounts. RevenueCat processes this information as described in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, and Google Play as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Permissions
DoseMate requests only the permissions required to deliver reminders on time. Each is used solely for its stated purpose.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS). Used to show reminder notifications when a dose is due. You can disable notifications at any time in Android settings.
- Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM). Used to schedule reminders at the exact times you set, so an alert can arrive precisely when a dose is due, even while the device is idle.
- Advertising ID (AD_ID). Read by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to request ads in the free version, as described under Advertising. It is not used by any other part of the app.
- Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE). Used to check whether the device is online, so the app skips ad requests and explains purchase failures while you are offline.
DoseMate uses the internet only to send the anonymous usage and crash data described above, to request ads in the free version, and to verify purchases. Every medication feature — reminders, the calendar, and your history — works entirely offline. The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage permissions.
How Information Is Used
- To display your medication plan for each day.
- To schedule and show reminders at the times you choose.
- To record doses as taken or skipped and show your calendar and history.
- To remember your app settings, such as language.
All of this processing happens locally on your device. The information you enter is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the features you use in the app.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. The medications, schedules, and history you enter stay on your device and are not shared with us, with advertisers, or with anyone else. The only data that leaves your device is the anonymous analytics and crash information processed by Google Firebase, the device-level advertising signals processed by Google AdMob, and the purchase information processed by Google Play and RevenueCat — each as described above.
Data Retention And Deletion
Your medications, schedules, and history remain on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall DoseMate. You can remove individual medications within the app, and clearing the app's data or uninstalling it permanently removes all information the app has stored on your device. Anonymous analytics and crash data processed by Google Firebase, advertising data processed by Google AdMob, and purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained by those providers according to their own retention policies.
Children's Privacy
DoseMate does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and is not directed at children. Any medication information a child enters stays only on that device under your control, and the app builds no personal profile through its analytics or advertising.
Security
Your medication information is stored in the app's private, sandboxed storage provided by Android and is not exposed to other apps. Keeping it on your device rather than in a cloud account reduces exposure, and the analytics, crash, advertising, and purchase data described above is transmitted over encrypted connections. We still recommend protecting your device with a screen lock.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
